How Pilates Helps Prevent Falls and Boosts Independence

Join Erin for Balance & Fall Prevention on the Reformer!

Maintaining your balance is critical for staying healthy, active, and independent as you age. Here at Studio Evolve, a Seattle Pilates studio, we understand this concern for older adults.

For older adults, falling, often while performing simple everyday activities like reaching into the cupboard or tying their shoes, is a leading cause of bone breaks and fractures, often resulting in loss of mobility and independence.

The good news is that many falls can be prevented with a simple movement routine designed to build and maintain your balance. This is exactly what Studio Evolve's Balance & Fall Prevention Pilates Reformer Series focuses on!

Join Erin Sekulich at Studio Evolve, a Seattle Pilates Studio, for the Balance & Fall Prevention 4-Week Reformer Class Series (Tuesdays, 1/23 - 2/13 from 10-11AM).

Each class, Erin will guide you through a fun and accessible movement sequence designed specifically to improve your balance. Modifications are available for injuries and mobility limitations, so don't hesitate to let Erin know about any physical concerns before class.

As you progress, Erin will explain the various components of balance. This empowers you to make informed decisions to support healthy balance in your daily life.

By the end of the 4 weeks at Studio Evolve, you will:

  • Understand the components of balance and how specific exercises target those components

  • Have a simple, effective weekly exercise routine you can perform at home to maintain your balance

  • Be positioned to continue your balance practice by transitioning into the ongoing Balance & Fall Prevention class offered at Studio Evolve after the introductory series concludes.

This class will continue as a regularly scheduled class once the Intro series is completed so you can continue your balance practice into 2024!

There are only five spots available to ensure you’ll get lots of attention from your teacher.
