For busy parents, fitting in regular exercise can be a serious challenge. We know, because many of the teachers at Studio Evolve are parents, too. Luckily, we also know that Pilates is potent stuff - it’s intelligent exercise that delivers results, even if you commit to just one hour per week. (Give it two hours per week, and we think you’ll feel a difference even faster.) Here’s how we can help you stay centered and energized while you’re growing and/or raising a small human:
Move well throughout pregnancy
Are you pregnant? First: Congratulations! Second: If you’re looking a safe and effective prenatal movement practice, you came to the right place. Pilates and Gyrotonic training are brilliant prenatal workouts (provided your doctor says it’s OK for you to exercise). Our teachers support moms-to-be through all nine months of pregnancy.
We help pregnant clients develop deep core strength and muscle memory. Pilates assists with balance and stability as your body changes. It also keeps the pelvis, spine and hips mobile, which can relieve discomfort during pregnancy.
Prenatal sessions use spring-based equipment to support your joints as the ligaments around them become more mobile. Plus, we know how to keep you moving and strengthening as your pregnancy progresses and you can’t lie on your back. Our teachers are masters of creative lesson-planning, and they come bearing props and boosts.

Restore your core strength after a baby
Did you just have a baby? Congratulations! (Again!) Supporting clients as they journey through motherhood is our jam. We know how frustrating it can be but we are here to help you every step of the way. We will not be rushing you because everyone has their own pace. Starting your post-baby workout sessions with us will not just be beneficial for you and your family, but also a fun way to get that core strength back!
Pilates and Gyrotonic exercises are great for new moms because many of the movements work your pelvic floor. Mindful breathing taps into your natural ability to engage your core muscles. You’ll work with your teacher to cultivate core stability that carriers into your daily life.
Speaking of carrying/daily life: Pilates and Gyrotonic workouts build a strong shoulder girdle and upper back, so you can feed and pick up your little one(s) with more ease.

P.S. Societal pressure to “Bounce back” post-baby begone! We’ll get you feeling strong, however that works best for you, at your own pace. Our teachers are known for their compassion and humor. So honor your body. Trust your intuition. We’re here to cheer you on.
