Why You Are In Pain
If it’s biomechanical, there’s a very good chance that Pilates can help…
We know what it feels like when…
The pain in your low back, knee, or neck is so intense it often feels debilitating.
It’s distracting you from your work and keeping you from being fully present with your loved ones.
You’ve navigated the healthcare bureaucracy to see this doctor and that specialist, but what they offer is ibuprofen, cortisol shots, and now they’re talking about surgery.
You don’t love being on pain meds all the time and you’re skeptical about surgery…but something has to change.
Being in serious pain can zap your energy and suck the joy out of your days. We’ve been there too.
Actually, that’s why we started Studio Evolve.
Because here’s the thing: A lot of chronic pain is actually caused or exacerbated by simple biomechanical misalignments.
And often, safe, functional movement that focuses on building strength, muscular intelligence, and mobility CAN HELP A LOT.
This can be true even when something shows up on an MRI that your doctor tells you is the source of your pain.
Take disk injuries, like a herniated disk: there is actually very little association between whether a herniated disk shows up on your MRI and whether you have back pain. Some people have pain, some people don’t.
And it is possible for MANY people to reduce and even completely resolve pain through Pilates and Gyrotonic.
We know because we’ve seen it with our own eyes and in our bodies!
LOTS of our clients come to us when they’ve seen ALL the specialists about their pain, and some are potentially headed towards surgery when they try Pilates.
And now we’re seeing these clients get back to doing the things they love - hiking, dancing, going for long walks, playing with their kids and grandkids, and putting energy into their work, their relationships, and their families again.
A movement practice is not a one-time solution: it takes commitment to regular practice over time. BUT, you can start to feel results quickly if you’re consistent!
Pilates and Gyrotonic are low-risk, non-invasive, and EXTREMELY affordable compared to a lifetime of increasing healthcare costs - we’d love to support you if you’re ready to give it a try!
