Gyrotonic or Pilates: Which is the Right Fit for Your Wellness Routine?
They are both mind-body movement practices that help you build strength and mobility…
Studio Evolve, a leading Seattle Pilates studio, is hiring a Gyrotonic teacher! Click here for the full details and to apply.
At Studio Evolve, our focus is on serving the individuals in front of us based on their unique needs.
That’s why we offer multiple healing modalities, including Pilates classes and Gyrotonic - so that we can support our clients in creating individualized self-care plans that can shift and change over time.
The two main forms of movement we teach are Pilates (which you’ve probably heard of) and Gyrotonic (which you maybe haven’t).
Like Pilates, Gyrotonic is a mind-body movement practice taught on specialized equipment that helps you build strength and mobility. It can be a great complement to your Pilates practice at Studio Evolve.
But it’s also an excellent compliment to Pilates. Because while Pilates focuses on spinal stability, gyrotonic focuses on getting your spine pliable and free.
Where the movements in Pilates are mostly linear, Gyrotonic is spiraling and circular.
Sometimes advanced Pilates practitioners who are looking for something new take up Gyrotonic and enjoy the coordination challenges of Gyrotonic’s advanced choreography.
But strong coordination and balance are NOT prerequisites. Like Pilates, Gyrotonic can be taught at any level, adapted to meet any physical needs, and can help relieve pain.
More of our Pilates students at Studio Evolve have been curious about trying Gyrotonic - so to meet demand, we are looking to hire another Gyrotonic teacher!
More details and instructions to apply right are available right here.
If someone you know might be interested, please forward them this email!
And if you’re curious about becoming a Gyrotonic teacher but you’re not yet trained, hit reply and tell us about your background in movement and/or teaching and what draws you to teach Gyrotonic.
We’d love to share training recommendations and discuss whether working at Studio Evolve, a Seattle Pilates studio, might be a good fit!
