How to Make Time to See Your Friends

Stacking functions is different from multitasking, and better for your brain…

Between balancing work and family obligations, carving out time to rest, exercise, and taking care of yourself, it can be easy to let weeks slip by without spending time with your friends.

Because it’s not just about the time you actually spend together - it’s also the mental energy you spend planning that time. We know, your friends are busy too - and it’s easy to drop the scheduling ball when you’ve texted back and forth three times without landing on a time.

Our solution: make it routine, and stack your functions.

You’ve heard us talk about the importance of building your movement practice into your routine, so you don’t have to do the mental gymnastics of slotting it into your packed schedule (and the meta-gymnastics of REMEMBERING to slot it in) several times a week.

Time with friends can also be set up as a standing date.

And we’ve found it works even better when you STACK that time with another activity you want to make time for every week or every month - like doing meal prep, taking a walk, or going to Pilates class.

Stacking friendship time with your movement practice has the additional benefit of helping you hold yourself accountable to your self-care time: if someone else is counting on you being there, you’ll think twice before crossing it off your schedule.

At Studio Evolve, we LOVE when friends come to the studio together, because their warmth and laughter helps build our community.

And this month only, we’ve got a special gift for ALL of our current clients: a COMPLIMENTARY DUET SESSION for you and a friend who is new to Studio Evolve!

This offer is available to ALL of our members, and anyone who has a current package of classes or private sessions (5 pack or greater.)

Here’s how to redeem yours:

  • Invite a friend who lives locally in the Seattle area and hasn’t been to Studio Evolve for at least a year to join you for a complimentary duet session (this is in ADDITION to the regular classes or sessions you have on the schedule, and it will be FREE for you AND your friend!)

  • Email us with your friend’s name, email, and phone number, and we’ll follow up with a booking link and all the details.

  • Redeem by the end of February, but schedule anytime until the end of March

We can’t wait to meet your people!

P.S. To redeem this offer, you’ll need to let us know by the end of February, and then book your complimentary duet before the end of March.

So go ahead and get in touch with your friend now, before it falls to the bottom of your to-do list - and hit “reply” to give us their info!
