How this athlete reconnected to his body after an injury & pandemic life sidelined him…He’s having fun, too! Can you relate?
“As an avid runner, paddleboarder and swimmer for most of my life, I have been pretty in tune with my body.
But after being cooped up during the pandemic and a tough running injury, I developed some pretty persistent, low-grade pain and lost a lot of strength and mobility.
I started to get the sense that many of my aches and pains had deep roots.
I was tired of feeling that pain was inevitable with aging and decided to try something fundamentally different to end it. That’s when I joined Studio Evolve.
I work with Chelsea, and her positive attitude is so rejuvenating and fun! She breaks every move down and always takes the right pace for me, so my body feels safe to move and grow.
I have worked out in different ways my whole life and they have all felt good in their own way. But Pilates is different from other workouts I have done.
After my practice, I always feel relaxed, balanced and in a better mood. Always.
I am rebuilding a deep connection with my body. And I’m tuning in to my movements and strengths in ways I have never done before, and that feels great!”
