How Mark significantly reduced low back pain episodes through Pilates

“I’ve always had some lower back problems, but four or five years ago I started to have much more severe symptoms.

“Every so often I would do some strange movement, or, say, go on a long bike ride when I hadn't slept well the night before, and then I would have acute pain that kept me from moving around at all, and it would last about six weeks.

“Eventually the acute pain would subside and I would go back to feeling generally pretty bad all the time, but it was manageable.

“I’ve gone to a couple different PTs, a chiropractor, and an acupuncturist for my low back.

“The last PT I went to got to the point where she said she couldn’t really help me anymore, and I needed to get into a strength-building routine that would prevent these injuries from happening again. She recommended Studio Evolve.

“I started doing two private sessions a week with Kimmie, and within the first 6-8 weeks my low back started to feel noticeably better.

“This was FAST compared to anything else I’ve tried - everything else either didn’t help, or the progress moved at such a glacial pace that it was hard for me to really notice.

“I think coming in twice a week was a big part of my fast progress.

“I haven’t severely injured myself for a couple years now and it really is about making sure I get in some functional movement and core strengthening work.

“It feels like preventative medicine, or like taking vitamins. I feel better on a daily basis, and I’m now much less likely to injure myself if I happen to pick something up at a weird angle.”
