How Jillian used Pilates to find ease and comfort in daily activities

[Even though she hates working out and was nervous about being too out-of-shape to do Pilates]... and you can too!

“My relationship with my body has always been a tough road. I have struggled with working out my entire life (I don't do it because I enjoy it, I do it because I know it is good for me) and maintaining a healthy weight, but I try my best to love my body anyway.

I have also struggled from back pain due to a past car accident, and that comes and goes with little tweaks every now and then.

Before I started Pilates at Studio Evolve, the only movement I was getting during the day was walking the dog and a once-a-week horseback ride.

I was concerned that I would not be able to actually do some of the exercises or make it through an entire class because I'm so out of shape.

But once I started, this fear quickly went away - I learned that any exercise could be adjusted to fit my current level of fitness and strength!

I have felt really welcomed since I first stepped foot in the studio and took my first group class.

All the teachers and even the other students were friendly and encouraging. It was easy to fit right in and be a part of the group.

I really feel well cared for at Studio Evolve and that the Instructor team wants to see me succeed.

Since I started practicing regularly at Studio Evolve, I can feel a major difference in my daily activities.

Walking the dog takes less effort and I can feel my muscles working and engaging in new ways. I have learned to breathe deeply and engage my core anytime I need to keep stable. I have also noticed that I don’t get as sore horseback riding, I can hold myself properly in the saddle better, and can go for longer rides!”
