With just this first week of 2018 behind us, I have some difficult news to share about the loss of a dear and respected member of our Studio Evolve family, Lynn Felsinger.
In 2007, a few months after her 60th birthday, Lynn started a regular Pilates practice, exercising regularly for the first time in her life. A few years later, she began her GYROTONIC® training and in 2011 began teaching GYROTONIC® session at Evolve. She was known for bringing compassion, knowledge of the body and her sense of humor to her sessions. She became a SPRe® Practitioner in 2013, seeking to both expand her understanding of herself and her ability to help her clients.
On New Years’ Day, Lynn Felsinger passed away peacefully in her home with the same grace and independence she showed in life. She will be deeply missed. I am so grateful to hear the kind words that so many of you have to share about Lynn and the important role she played in all of our lives. Thank you for sharing.
We are planning a special event at the Studio in the new few weeks to commemorate her life and contribution to our community. If you would like to receive an invite to this event, please send me an email here.
From her clients and colleagues:
“She has been a beacon of light for me for years.”
“Lynn was an inspiration to me…for many reasons.”
“A damn good person!”
“She was wonderful to work with and a great friend.”
“Lynn was such a bright spot in our lives and at the studio.”
“We are grateful for the way Lynn cut through our s**t and called us out, then up to be better and step into the fullness of who we are. No small task, but she believed in us… Her love and belief in me compelled me to begin my own rise.”
“The world is a little less sparkly due to her absence, but I am tickled to have known her.”
